Recently, customer from Europe came to our Kitech facility to conduct the final test of KCP series pelletizing system with self-cleaning laser filter for PP flakes. Kitech team had a pleasant discussion with the customer on various technical issues of KCP series double stage& compacting pelletizing machine.

KCP series double stage plastic granulation integrates pre-cutting and compacting, plasticizing and granulating. It provides customers with high efficient recycling and granulation solutions. This machine can process various materials including soft plastic films, filaments, bags, woven bags, fabrics, etc. (PE, LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP, BOPP, ABS, EPS, XPS, PS material raw materials). Customers can not only produce dryer plastic pellets, but also apply for PIR waste from blown film lines, pipe extrusion and injection molding production lines.

The customer is particularly interested in the working principle of our own developed self-cleaning laser filter. Kitech shows the machine running and gave a detailed component structure to the working principle. Kitech’s Self-cleaning laser filter is made of double-mesh carbide(from 80-300micron), which has less wear during use and longer product life. During the production process, it can automatically filter and clean impurities in the screen, reducing the cost of manual screen replacement.

This pelletizing system mainly consists of below mentioned parts.

1. Feeding System
The belt automatically conveys plastic waste, and the feeding speed can be adjusted by the inverter according to the feeding amount. This system can be equipped with a metal detector to filter metal impurities and protect subsequent machines.

2. Double Stage Screw Extruder
The extruder uses a high-efficiency barrel and screw, which has a better plasticizing effect on plastic waste and a better output. Equipped with two sets of single-screw extruders, after two extrusions, filtration and degassing, the quality of plastic particles is better.

3. Plate filter system

The single-plate double-station design based on user considerations is more convenient for maintenance and installation. Ceramic heaters are equipped on both sides to maintain the temperature of the plastic.

4. Pelletizer System
Adopt the latest designed European water ring pelletizer, the cutting speed can be adjusted by the frequency converter to obtain uniform plastic pellet size.

5. Vibration and drying system
This system combines a vibration dryer with a horizontal centrifugal dryer. Through centrifugal high-speed shaking, well-dried plastic particles can be obtained. The water tank is equipped with a heat exchanger for water temperature cooling, and the cooling water can be recycled.

6. PLC control system

The system uses well-known electrical brands, such as Siemens, Schneider, ABB, etc. It can automatically stop and start the entire system with one button, and the interface operation is simple, reducing the learning cost.
